RATIO MASTER 5.0
PURPOSE |
OTHER BENEFITS |
Early strength is accelerated allowing early release of the beds and the finished product will have less shrinkage, cracking and bug holes. Finishing costs will be substantially reduced. Ratio Master 5.0 will increase the workability of the concrete mix allowing it to fill and better pack in the mold, thereby producing a stronger and less porous product. Ratio Master 5.0 acts synergistically with silica fume and meta kaolin additives to generate high performance concrete.
At high treat rates, Ratio Master 5.0 is a very effective non-chloride accelerating plasticizer and can reduce water ratios to 25% or lower. Also this product will enable you to maintain a high slump for a longer period of time during an extended or delayed pour and will generally eliminate the need to add water to the mix during such occasions. Setting time will not be increased. Ratio Master 5.0 conforms to ASTM C-494 Type F requirements and is compatible with all Portland cements except cements containing high levels of sodium sulfate.

APPLICATION |
For most applications, Ratio Master 5.0 should be added at the rate of 6 to 18 ounces per 100 lbs (390 to 1170 ml per 100 kg) of cement. If acceleration is the primary motive, the recommended treat rates should be doubled. For best results, bring the mix to a 1" slump before adding this product. Agitate the container containing the Ratio Master 5.0 and add the correct dosage to the mixer before adding the additional water required to reach the desired slump. Note: Mix an additional two minutes over the regular mix time to get the full benefit of the additive before placement.
Ratio Master 5.0 is compatible with most other additives, however, it should not be used with any other plasticizer. If you intend to use other admixtures, please contact us at the address/telephone number listed below for consultation.STORAGE AND AGITATION |
Store this product in areas where the temperature exceeds 45o F and protect from freezing. Keep the container lid in place at all times when not in use. Shelf life normally is 12 months when stored in a reasonable environment and not contaminated by foreign materials. Occasional agitation is required when stored for a period exceeding 30 days.
