SURE AIR

PURPOSE

Sure Air is a liquid resin air-entraining admixture, designed to produce microscopic air bubbles in concrete mixes.

OTHER BENEFITS

Sure Air helps to increase the workability of the concrete and provides freeze thaw resistance, improves plasticity, cohesiveness and placement, while reducing segregations, bleeding and shrinkage of the concrete mix. Sure Air can be used across a wide range of concrete mix designs. Sure Air is non-corrosive.

APPLICATION

There is no standard addition rate for Sure Air. The amount to be used will depend upon the amount of air required for job conditions. Typical addition rate for Sure Air is 0.25 to 4.0 fluid ounces per 100 lbs. of cement, added to the gauging water. This quantity will produce air entrainment of 5 to 6%. Air entrainment admixtures will increase the volume of the concrete. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the water requirement and aggregate content, to maintain the cement factor and yield. Sure Air is fully effective and compatible in concrete with other admixtures including calcium chloride. However, each admixture should be added separately to the concrete mix. In some cases when other additives are used, the Sure Air dosage may be reduced.

STORAGE AND AGITATION

Sure Air will freeze at 32 degrees F, but may be completely restored by thawing at room temperature and mechanically agitating thoroughly.
